In the morning, we cycled near
the area we are staying in,
to do some Geocaching.
午前中は滞在している地域の
周辺を自転車で走りながら
夫のジオキャッシングに付き合った。
Of course Benji's coming with us.
もちろんベンジーも一緒に来る。

We were lucky with the weather.
It didn't rain on us.
But we saw a rainbow in the sky.
幸運なことに雨に降られなかった。
しかし近くでは雨が降っていたようで
空には虹が出ていた。
After lunch,
my husband and Benji
went to Carentan to
go kayaking.
昼食後、
夫とベンジーはカヤックをしに
カランタンに行った。
I went to local Carrefour,
and bought some groceries for dinner.
On this holiday, my husband kindly
did all the dinner cooking.
But today I took over the duty.
私は近くにあるスーパー、カールフールに行き
食材を購入した。
今回の旅行では夫が夕食を毎日作ってくれるのだが、
今日は私が作ることにしたからだ。
I also bought nice cakes as well.
美味しいケーキも購入。
I made some smashed potato pancake
with grated Gouda cheese.
French potatoes are really tasty.
ジャガイモがたくさんあったので、
電子レンジで調理して、
それを砕いてゴーダチーズと混ぜて
パンケーキを作ってみた。
フランスのジャガイモは
本当に美味しい。
Today, our neighbour in Dublin
rang the doorbell of our house.
We can answer the door
from anywhere in the world.
今日、ダブリンの近所の人が
我々の自宅のドアベルを鳴らした。
インターネットのおかげで
どこにいても会話できる。
"Is Benji at home?" he said.
We could see him and his dog
on the camera,
and another dog on the loose
exactly like Benji!!
「ベンジーは家にいる？」と
近所の人は言う。
カメラで見てみると
近所の人とその人の犬、
そしてリードに繋がれていない
ベンジーにそっくりな犬が
映っていた！！
I was very moved by his kindness,
thinking that Benji might be getting lost.
I am also worried who the real owner
of that poor little Benji doppelgänger.
近所の人はベンジーが
迷子になって家に入れないのだと
心配して連れてきてくれたようだ。
その優しさに感激。
そして、そのベンジーのそっくりさんが
本当の飼い主さんと
再会できたのか心配である。
