Today turned out to be
a big city sightseeing day.
今日は大都市を観光する日になった。
First, we went to Saint-Lô,
the capital of Manche Department.
I drove there.
まずは、マンシュ県の首都サン＝ロー。
私が運転を担当した。
Left the car at the charger,
and we started to walk to the castle.
車を駐車場で充電しておいて、
そしてお城に向かった。
This town was destroyed during
the Second World War.
この街も第二次世界大戦で
廃墟と化した。

We bought sandwiches and
had lunch in the big square.
ベーカリーでサンドウィッチを昼食用に買い、
中心部の大きな広場で食べた。
Then we drove to Coutances,
another big city in Manche Department.
その後、マンシュ県の別の都市、
クタンスに行った。

We wanted to visit the botanical garden,
but we had to give up as
dogs are not allowed there!
植物園に行きたかったのだが、
なんと犬は入れないことがわかり
残念ながら断念した。

After Geocaching,
we took a tea break
at a lovely macaron cafe,
ジオキャッシングの後、
素敵なマカロン専門店
ティーブレイクをした。
We did Geocaching a bit more,
and went home.
その後ジオキャッシングを少しやってから
家路についた。
At home, we realised that
we had left "Benji Bone" behind!!
We had already lost one,
so this was his second one.
(One of our neighbours' dog
took it home with her,
and the neighbour kindly
bought an identical one for Benji.)
家に着いてから、
ベンジーのお気に入りの
「Benji」の名前入りの骨のおもちゃを
クタンスに忘れてきたことに気づいた。
1度失くしているのでこれは
二代目「Benji Bone」である。
（一代目は、近所の犬に取られてしまい、
飼い主さんが申し訳なく思い、
新しいのを買って持ってきてくれた。）
Benji wouldn't go anywhere without it.
ベンジーはどこに行くのもこのおもちゃを持っていく。
近所に散歩に行くときでもだ。
However, I had brought
a spare "Benji Bone" just in case!
しかしながら、万が一のことを考え、
私は予備の「Benji Bone」を
持ってきていた！
