The 2024 Holiday in Charente-Maritime, France 5

On our first day Rochefort,

we decided to go to the city centre in the rain.

We came all the way from Ireland,

looking for lovely summer weather

like the one we had 2 & 5 years ago,

but this year it's been quite miserable and cold.

ロッシュフォーでの1日目は、

ロッシュフォーの中心部に出かけた。

一昨年や5年前の今頃に来た時は

毎日30度超えでいいお天気だったのに、

今回は20度を超えるか超えないの

気温で毎日雨に見舞われている。

On the way to Rochefort centre from our house,

I spotted Thermal Bath Spa Hotel, 

a sanatorium we saw 2 years ago.

宿からロッシュフォー中心部に

車で行く途中、

2年前にそこの駐車場で何度か

車の充電をした

サナトリウムを見た。

There were several things I remembered,

and several places I wanted to do revisit,

but it was raining and cold,

so we just had lunch and went home.

We had lunch in Place Colbert,

a famous site for the film

Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.

いくつかの観光地は見覚えがあったし、

街でもう1度行ってみたい場所もあったが、

とにかく雨だし寒いので、

Place Colbertという広場で

昼食を取って帰宅した。

この広場は、映画

『ロシュフォールの恋人たち』の

ロケ地として有名な場所である。
