The 2024 Holiday in Charente-Maritime, France 14

 

On this day, we went to Saintes.

We were there with our previous dogs

5 years ago.

この日はサントまで出かけた。

5年前にも

日本スピッツたちと

一緒に行った。

The Roman amphitheatre.

As dogs are not allowed inside,

we had to stare from outside.

古代遺跡の闘技場。

グラディエーターが戦うために作られた。

犬は中に入れないので

我々は外から眺めた。

Benji made a friend there.

ベンジーは友達を発見。

シャラント川にかかる橋。

We bought sandwiches

and had them for lunch

in the public park.

And did some Geocaching there.

近くのベーカリーで

サンドウィッチを購入し、

公園内で食べた。

その後はその公園で

ジオキャッシング。

メリーゴーランドの前で

Then we went to a patisserie

I really wanted to go to.

そして絶対に行きたかった

パティスリーへ行った。

店の前で待つ私とベンジー。

In realty, I went inside, too,

and bought 2 cakes,

using my terrible French.

The young man at the shop

was very kind and understanding😅

実際には私も中に入り、

ひどいフランス語で

私が購入した。

スタッフのお兄さんは

とても優しく対応してくれた。

I wanted to buy a mille-feuille,

but they didn't have one...

So I bought a cake called "Absolu".

本当はミルフィーユが

食べたかったのだが、

売っていなかったので

「アブソーリュ」という

ケーキを買った。

My husband chose Paris-Brest.

夫はパリ・ブレストを選んだ。

After dinner, my husband 

tried to kayak in the canal

near our house.

夕食後、夫は近くの運河で

カヤックを使ってみた。

心配そうなベンジー。

He came back safely,

so don't worry Benji!

無事に帰ってきたから

心配しないで、ベンジー！
