Today we visited Bayeux again.
It was a sunny beautiful day,
unlike last time.
今日はまたまたバイユーに行った。
前回とは異なり、雨も降らず
お天気に恵まれた。
Basically what we did was
mostly (or solely) Geocaching.
But we walked slowly
as I may develop a headache
if I overexercise.
結局、バイユーでの殆どの時間を
ジオキャッシングに費やした。
夫が喜ぶのならそれでいい😅
ただ、私が疲れると頭痛を起こすので
ゆっくりゆっくり歩いた。
For lunch, we looked for a
dog friendly restaurant
and found one: Le Garde Manger
昼食には犬も入れるレストランを探し、
「Le Garde Manger」という
素敵なレストランを選んだ。
My husband had an omelette.
I had a croque monsieur.
It was a generous serving, and delicious.
夫はオムレツを注文し、
私はクロック・ムッシューを注文した。
量は多いし美味しいし、大満足。
My husband continued to do
Geocaching after lunch,
but I was getting tired.
So we decided I should take a break
at a cafe in E.Leclerc Hypermarket
near Bayeux war cemetery
while my husband and Benji
walked back to the car and
drove to where I was.
夫は昼食後もジオキャッシングを続けたが
私はだんだん疲れ始めていた。
そこで、ジオキャッシングを終えた時、
夫とベンジーが車を取りに行く間、
私はノルマンディー米軍英霊墓地の
近くにあるハイパーマーケット
「ルクレール」内のカフェで
休憩することになった。
At the cafe, I was again
faced with a cultural difference.
I ordered "black tea",
and the staff gave me a paper cup
and tea bag and a wooden spoon.
カフェでまたまた文化の違いに遭遇した。
紅茶を注文したのだが、
スタッフに紙コップとティーバッグと
木のスプーンを渡されたのだ。
I knew I had to pour hot water
by myself, but I didn't know where.
Then a kind gentleman indicated
I have to use Nespresso machine!
どこかでお湯を注がなければならない
ことは理解できたのだが、
どこでやればいいのか全くわからない。
すると、親切な男性が近くにあった
「ネスプレッソ・マシーン」の
真ん中のボタンを指さして教えてくれた！
The cake we bought from the bakery
which was closed for holiday until today.
Apple caramel mousse (or something like that).
The best cake I had so far in this holiday.
昨日まで夏休みで閉まっていた
ベーカリーで買ったケーキ。
アップル・キャラメル・ムース。
今回の旅行で食べたケーキの中で
1番美味しかった。
